Spanish and Mathematics - BSc (RG41)
This four-year Combined Honours degrees is offered in conjunction with the Department of Modern Languages. The third year is spent Spain, either as a student at the Universities of Santander or Granada where you will study Mathematics and the language and culture of the country, or teaching English in a school, or on a work placement. In each of the three years spent in Exeter, students normally take 50% of their credits in Pure and Applied Mathematics, and 50% in Hispanic Studies. There are also three-year variants without the year abroad. There are several modern language modules to choose from. Modules in Spanish are taken by students who have an A level in the language. There is also a beginners’ route for students who have a good AS level in a modern foreign language. Modules taken in Hispanic Studies include:
