French and Mathematics - BSc (GR11)



French and MathematicsThis four-year Combined Honours degree is offered in conjunction with the Department of Modern Languages. The third year is spent in France at the University of Rennes I,  where you will study Mathematics and the language and culture of the country, or teaching English in a school, or on a work placement. In each of the three years spent in Exeter, students normally take 50% of their credits in Pure and Applied Mathematics, and 50% in French. There are also three-year variants without the year abroad. The modules taken in French include:

First Year:  French language, written and oral (30 credits)
  La civilisation française (15 credits)
  another 15-credit module
Second Year:  French language, written and oral (30 credits)
  two 15-credit modules
Third/Fourth Year:  French Language (30 credits)
  two other 15-credit modules
